Tripotamos beach, Sithonia

Tripotamos beach, Sithonia

About 14 km from Nikiti, after turning to Lagomandra, is Tripotamos beach. Parking is available on both the north and south part of the beach.

The beach is 1 km long and it is sandy, with shallow water. There is a pine tree behind the beach, so there is a natural shade, though only in the morning. The beach is divided into north and south by a crack. The northern part is a little more isolated. Tripotamos is an easily accessible beach, but surprisingly tourists don’t really visit it, so it’s never crowded. There are deck chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

The southern part of the beach is in fact Castello beach, named after the camp site of the same name. This part of the beach is decorated, there are deck chairs, umbrellas, restaurants, bars, showers, toilets, mini market. There are numerous water sports on offer.

Some 600m after Castello camp, the road moves away from the coast and bypasses the village of Tripotamos in the harbor. Another unsolved siton puzzle. Water canal, reeds and turtles, ruins of old houses, several cottages on the seashore with typical bar features. At the part where the road is approaching the sea again there is a beach as it should be in this part of Sithonia, 250m long and without shade in the hinterland, but worth stopping by.
