Glarokavos beach
Glarokavos Beach is located slightly separated from the inhabited places, on the east coast of the Kassandra Peninsula, in the extension of the famous resort of Pefkohori.
If you are in Pefkohori, you can visit this beach, which is located about 2.5 kilometers from the center. Glarokavos Beach is located at the entrance to the bay of the same name, which runs deep into the interior of the Kassandra Peninsula, some 105 kilometers from Thessaloniki.
Because of its shape, the beach is ideal for mooring boats, since it is separated from the open sea by a narrow passage. This makes it a very suitable natural harbor.
The whole beach is surrounded by pine trees, which reach all the way to the beach, so that they can enjoy their shade. If you prefer landscaped beaches, Glarokavos Beach has a beach bar of the same name, where you can order drinks and enjoy their sun loungers and parasols. If you prefer uncluttered beaches, bring your deck chairs and take in the shade provided by the thick pine forest that surrounds the beach.
The beach is sandy, with small pebbles and with a gradual change in water depth, but due to the presence of wild campers and a lot of unregulated environment, we do not recommend for families with young children. The beach is not very crowded, because of the size and space on which it extends. We recommend divers who can find very interesting things to see about 100 meters from the coast.
Glarokavos Beach (translation from the Greek – natural bay or seagull cape) is suitable for water sports as well as tent and free camping. If you are (or are not) lucky, you may also meet a nudist.
