Avis beach, Santorini island

Avis beach continues on the long Monolithos beach. It is located on the eastern side of Santorini, near the airport.

It was named after the Avis Tomato Factory (tomato factory), which produced the authentic products of Santorini. Some are also called Exo Gonia by the village that is nearby.

When you find yourself on the Avis beach, it’s clear to you that you are on a volcanic island. Just look at the color of the stone and the sand, and everything is clear. Basically, almost all the beaches on Santorini are with black sand and stones, which may not be so attractive, but the water is impeccably clean and believe it can be enjoyed on these beaches.

This is a quiet beach, which is not crowded. It is well organized, with umbrellas, restaurants, deck chairs and it is possible to rent equipment for water sports. You can also find mini markets in the vicinity. Along the coast there is a lot of trees growing, which gives the beach a calm atmosphere. Our team visited the beach while bathing a cute house, so she also did a little bit more pictures.

Avis beach is not among the best known in Santorini, but in our opinion it should be. The location and natural environment make it suitable for dealing with water sports. When the wind blows, here is the ideal place for surfing and kite-surfing, and when we visited this beach, there was no rain wind.
